These mats MUST be installed in conjunction with ProFoam™ or XPS Insulation. When installing carpet/vinyl flooring, Heat-Pak® Dual Overlay must also be used.

When installing, please ensure that the carpet and underlay combined tog value does not exceed 2.0. Note that in most cases, underfloor heating cannot be used as the primary heat source when carpet is laid.

The Foil Underfloor Heating Mat is an ultra-thin electric radiant floor heating system designed primarily for use under laminate, engineered wood, glued hardwood, and other floating floors. This system offers easy installation and provides uniform heating for your laminate flooring. The special materials used in this system eliminate the problems of "Hot-Spots" or localized heating.

The system consists of fluoropolymer-insulated heating cables sandwiched between two layers of specially reinforced aluminium foil. The evenly spaced heating elements, backed by the aluminium foil, ensure even heat distribution.

The heating element is connected to a power-supply cable, which exits the laminate mat from one corner. The power lead is a flat, thin, two-core flexible cord, consisting of two insulated conductors with a metal sheath and an outer sheath.

This type of underfloor heating is available in heat outputs of 140 W/m2. It comes in predetermined lengths with a cold tail and is prefabricated and tested in a carefully controlled factory environment.

The hot and cold lead junctions are uniquely designed to make foolproof connections.
