Our Underfloor Heating tile Heating mat is exactly the same type of cable as the loose cable drum but on the heating mat the cable is spaced out evenly on a fibreglass mesh.

This saves time when installing and ensures that the spacing has been correctly carried out.  The heating cable used is a series type heating cable which has a twin conductor. A cold lead of 3.0M on one side is attached to the cable and this is used to connect the mat to the thermostat. The cable is a resistance heating wire covered with a primary insulation of fluoropolymer which is then covered with metal shielding and final outer sheath of PVC. The final outer diameter of the underfloor heating twin conductor cable is 3.2mm.

The junctions of the Hot and Cold leads are specially designed to make them 100% safe.
