Why Underfloor heating
Electric underfloor heating is a modern and efficient way of heating an area.
It is now recognised as a most reliable and cost effective way of heating areas in offices and homes. It provides maximum comfort conditions, but also is very economic.
In fact, most electrical underfloor heating systems will help meet the energy saving requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations. Also our state of the art ‘intelligent’ thermostats and super efficient insulation boards will increase the energy savings by an extra 20% .
The biggest advantage of electric underfloor heating is the way it distributes heat evenly around a room.
A room with conventional radiators will radiate heat from the radiators with a surface temperature of 65°C, the temperature will vary in different areas of the room away from the radiators will change from 19°C at floor level through 24°C and 25°C at different heights to 26°C just below the ceiling — depending on the distance from the radiator.
With an electric or water underfloor heating system achieving a temperature at floor level of 25°C, the base average temperature at different levels through the room will be lower, but room occupants will feel much more comfortable. This reduction in temperature variation will significantly affect on overall heating costs.
